What are the sustainability benefits to this product?Our geopolymer has 0% Portland Cement, using recycled supplementary cementitious materials slag and fly ash that are both waste biproducts of industrial processes - resulting in up to 70% reduction in carbon emissions. Our urban seating has 0% steel reinforcement, replaced with basalt reinforcement which is a two-fold more sustainable material (1) lower carbon emissions per kg of basalt vs steel, and (2) basalt reinforcement doesn't corrode, meaning the product will last longer, resulting in reusability, giving our products multiple design lives!

How durable is Curvecrete's proprietary concrete?Our 50MPa grade geopolymer is 3 times more durable than high strength 100MPa concrete. We test our geopolymers for carbonation and VPV durability according to Australian Standards to achieve over 100 years design life. Believe us when we tell you it's rock solid!

Will this help my organisation decarbonise?Yes! Our concrete material is extremely low in carbon emissions resulting in a GWP (Global Warming Potential) of less than 200 [CO2eq. kg/m3].

Are materials in this product recycled?Yes, the slag and fly ash ingredients are recycled waste biproducts making up 30% of our material by mass. Fun fact: We also have a recycled material within our secrete sauce activator solution!
